WhatsApp has been working on a number of new features for quite some time. It has already released the ‘see once’ function for vanishing photos and videos, and it is working on future features like multi-device support and encrypted backups. On the beta version of its Android app, WhatsApp is currently adding functionality for the new emoticons.
According to WA Beta Info, the Facebook-owned messaging app will now feature the most recent emojis, allowing Android users to see the most recent emoji sent by an Apple iOS user. iOS 14.5 had already been launched, and it included new emojis. A heart on fire, and exhaling face, and a variety of other emojis are among the emojis available. This has yet to be released.
It’s worth noting that Apple iPhone customers who updated to iOS 14.5, thanks to system-wide emoji compatibility, were able to send 217 new emoticons via WhatsApp from their keyboard. These emojis, however, are not visible to any Android user, as even Android 11 does not support them. WhatsApp has finally released an upgrade that will allow the photographs to be shown correctly.
According to the report, users who have updated their WhatsApp for Android beta to version 188.8.131.52 may readily look at all of the new emojis sent by iOS users. Consider this: they can send these emoji through the app’s emoji selector, but not from the keyboard. With the next Android 12 update, system-wide support for these emojis will be available.
